Week 3: Build Your Advocacy Voice

Begin championing the Pathway vision.
Improve communication and influence.
Actions
Draft and rehearse your personal "Why Pathway" elevator speech.
Share a 10-minute overview of one PTE standard at a team meeting or huddle.
Post or email a 1-paragraph Pathway message to peers or staff.
Output
Finalized elevator pitch + sample Pathway communication piece.
Week 4: Practice Project-Based Leadership
Objectives
Apply PTE principles to lead change.
Build visibility and credibility as a nurse leader.
Actions
Identify a small, meaningful project aligned with one PTE standard (e.g., a peer recognition board for Well-Being).
Assemble 2โ3 staff volunteers and launch the initiative.
Document the baseline and plan for measuring impact.

Week 5: Dive into Data & Storytelling

Learn how PTE uses data and stories to validate excellence.
Build your writing and analysis skills.

Review 2 key nursing-sensitive indicators for your unit (e.g., falls, turnover).
Write a 1-page narrative that connects a unit improvement to a PTE standard.
Use quotes, photos, or feedback to support the story.

One draft narrative that could contribute to a future Pathway Standards Document (PSD).
Week 6: Lead Forward & Plan Your Growth

Cement your leadership role in Pathway and define next steps for continued growth and impact.

Completed personal development plan + commitment to ongoing leadership.
Facilitate a 15โ30 minute reflection session with peers or UBC: "How does our unit live the Pathway standards?"
